International Whale Shark Day happens on 30 August every year, and it’s all about celebrating these colossal creatures, and encouraging marine conservation efforts aimed at this shark species. But why are whale sharks so important?
Well because of their size, whale sharks play a big role in the health of marine ecosystems, and what they do on a day-to-day basis can have far-reaching effects.

History of World Mosquito Day
World Mosquito Day was first established in 1897, when the link between mosquitoes and malaria transmission was discovered by Sir Ronald Ross. It aims to raise awareness about the causes of malaria and how it can be prevented, as well as fundraising for research into the cure of malaria. It is also a salute to the groundbreaking work of Sir Ross and scientists who have followed him.

FREE Online Multidisciplinary course under the aegis of Energy Swaraj Foundation to “Design a Solar System for Homes”.

The world today is facing an unprecedented crisis in the form of COVID-19, but it is necessary not to forget that a bigger crisis in terms of climate change is looming over the world. The primary cause for climate change has been attributed to the Energy Paradox that the world faces today, wherein more energy is required to achieve and maintain high economic growth rates, while rampant use of energy is causing climate change.
There is a FREE Online Multidisciplinary course under the aegis of Energy Swaraj Foundation to *“Design a Solar System for Homes”.*
Any student above the age of 14 years can take up this course. The course does not require much technical background and can be completed in less than 3 hours. AICTE looks forward to your participation in making the students across the globe Energy Literate.
Please note that there are no manpower or cost requirements for the course.
This course gives a unique opportunity to become Energy Literate irrespective of your educational background and experience.

In order to successfully complete the course, the students need to carefully watch 15 videos that are available both in English and Hindi. After watching the videos, the students are expected to take a quiz. Students, who will successfully complete the course, will get the certificates. This certificate may be useful for students for their future prospects.
Instructions to be followed:
Any student above the age of 14 years can take up this course.
Participants Institute Name is Required.
There are 15 videos in the course. Students need to watch each and every video to successfully complete the course.
Students must clear the quiz to get the certificate.
There are in total 32 questions of 40 marks. To clear the quiz you need to score at least 25 marks to be eligible for the certificate.
Only 2 Quiz attempts per participant will be allowed.
All can take this 3 Hours Course.
